This is something I'm taking out of the Equal Wings Workshop (Ablaze!) and I would like to share it with all of you.

We are all real people and we can experience the full range of emotions, including happiness and sadness, love and anger. The bottom line is stereotypes are destructive because they limit our potential! Yet how many guys we know who try hard to act like the stereotype, without even a second thought? What damage do we do to ourselves and others? We learn these attitudes and behaviours through the stereotypes of what society thinks it means. It is important for all of us to make our own decisions about what we do. Therefore we can agree that stereotyping can build unhealthy traits in individuals and society continually reinforces it through the media, family, etc. The world today is caught up in a cycle where these harmful character traits are passed on from one generation to the next - retarding social progress. Consequently harmful traits and habits absorbed during childhood are carried as adults from the family to the workplace, to political life and ultimately to international relations.

Let it be this generation that dares to create our own culture for a peaceful world one in which equality and respect prevails. People, Show LOVE!
