She's The Man!

Okay, did I tell you guys how much I lurve this movie? Most of the audience were laughing so hard at it! It was freakin' funny! Ok, at least I and several other people thought so. Marcus thought it wasnt worth to watch at the cinema. Guessed Jeremy thought so too. However, we did like the comedy scenes. After watching it in the cinema, I thought it was so good till I went and buy the DVD and watched it again. Guess somehow I can relate to it. Those who really know who I am, know how crazy I am over movies like these & comedy.

Synopsis:
It's hard enough being the nerdy new guy on campus without also being the new girl on campus, who has fallen for the coolest guy on campus, who is totally obsessed with the most beautiful girl on campus, who is crushing on the nerdy new guy on campus.Viola (Amanda Bynes) had her own good reasons for disguising herself as her twin brother Sebastian (James Kirk) and enrolling in his place at his new boarding school, Illyria. She was counting on Sebastian being AWOL from school as he tried to break into the music scene in London. What she didn't count on was falling in love with her hot roommate, Duke (Channing Tatum), who in turn only has eyes for the beautiful Olivia (Laura Ramsey). Making matters worse, Olivia is starting to fall for Sebastian, who, for reasons Olivia couldn't begin to guess, appears to be the sensitive type of guy she'd always dreamed of meeting. If things weren't complicated enough, the real Sebastian has come back from London two days earlier than expected and arrives on campus having no clue that he's been replaced... by his own twin sister.

Inspired by William Shakespeare's play "Twelfth Night", the contemporary comedy was directed by Andy Fickman.

Anne: Nur'i, he's gone la! I saw him take his bag pack and went away!
Nur'i: WTF?!! No way man! Its just like a few minutes!
Anne: Sorry lar.. but he left already!
Nur'i: Damn it! How can this happen to me, Anne!!

*at the surf beach*
Nori: Nur'i, isn't that Colby's voice?
Nur'i: Huh? Now? You mean the one on the speaker?
Nori: Yahhh, doesn't that sound like him?
Nur'i: Oh yeah, it does, a bit...
*trying to look at the huge surf screen to look at the presenters*
Nur'i: No la, it's not him.. sigh, I guess he must've went away already..

*suddenly*
Anne: Nur'i, Colby's still here! *pointing towards him in the middle of the surf area*
Nur'i: OMG! It is him! F*ck! I wanna take pic with him la!
-David & Noel was right beside me-
David: You want me to become your photographer or not?
Nur'i: Yeah! Omg, yes! Let's go there now!

At first I was already there, didn't dare to approach him at first. Suddenly this whole bunch of younger girls went up to him, and I was just right there, but THEY got interviewed on MTV instead of me! ERGH! *pissed* Later, we snapped pics. I'll upload the pics later cuz Anne hasn't uploaded them yet...

Oh, they gave like free Roxy wallets/purses, T-shirts, Quiksilver keychain's, sticker & freebies! Everyone was rushing to get them. OMG. Was pushed in the crowd, got sick of it cuz of my sprained leg so I got out.

There was like this bunch of Hawaiian guys. *SO YUMMY* Gorgeous! With their washboard abs.. ***Dreamy*** I think this is the first time ever in Malaysia that I realize that goodlooking hunks do exist! Or maybe they're just there for the weekend or event... But still, I had fun and it was good to catch up with sum of my friends.

Colby made my day. Can't believe I met him for the second time! It's like a fantasy!

Colby never fails to make my heart go *dup*dup*dup* whenever I think of him! ARGH! This is driving me insane!

Baha'i's face yet more persecution in Iran

This is what's been bugging me lately. I was at the Nineteenth Day Feast today and one of the topics raised what about the persecution of the Baha'is in Iran. What has the world become too? Isn't this like the so-called "civilized" age? Still, war or unjust behaviours are taking place. This is what's been happening to the Baha'is in Iran. They are being imprisoned for what? Teaching a good cause. Junior Youth classes, Children's classes.. is this wrong? Gaining knowledge.. education, isn't this what the world needs? But just because the Baha'is in Iran are doing this, they are being blamed for it. Blamed for doing a good deed. If you believe in Baha'i, then you believe in NO prejudices. If you believe that all the religion are one, then you believe in the Baha'i teachings. If you believe in harmony, peace and achieving unity, then you believe in the Baha'is. If you believe in equality in men and women, then you believe in Baha'i. It is indeed so sad to hear that now there is gonna be a complete GENOCIDE of the Baha'is in Iran. How can this happen? Those are innocent lives. You can't just kill lives just because they are doing good to the world. This is so unfair. I thought we already got over that period where people don't think with their brains. Well, I guess not. Genocide, going on again, RIGHT NOW, in the year 2006... Where is the love y'all? Baha'is are humans too. I'm sure if the people who are supporting the persecution can't even imagine what they would be going through right now, how would they feel if they were the ones who are being imprisoned? Facing death. As I'm studying international law, the genocide that happened in Rwanda and Yugoslavia DID happen. It happened. And so many awareness was set up, campaigns, protests, petitions, and now it's happening again... Come on world... we should love one another... unite... peace... can't we live in unity? It's so hurtful to see anyONE suffer... the situation in Darfur, Sudan is also another issue.. If we could all work hand in hand, together, I believe we can make this world a better place. So, please guys, spread this word... STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING. PREVENT IT!

Operation: STARBUCKS

A day in Starbucks. Doing what you may ask? What operation? My crazy & wacky (in a good way) bunch of housemates came up with a plan. I think it was Marcus's or Jeremy's idea. Guess what? And it so happened to fall on April Fools day! This is the sequence of events:

Ready to Rumble!

These are the guys who were the ones who took the challenge to go to Starbucks in rags! Plan: act stupid, deaf & dumb, brainless, laugh, play cards, stare at people, make them feel uncomfortable... and the list goes on...it was just for fun...
Kenny-3 burned holes on his shirt with a cigaratte.
Aaron-singlet & flip flops.
Jeremy-totally messy, slacker hair, singlet, flip flops. [best dressed]
Gamal-tight top, messy hair.
Marcus-no colar (cut them off with sissors), coconut hairstyle.

Before the Actual Initiation

The cast [LEFT TO RIGHT] :

~ Marcus (the leading character + mental + mute)
~Aaron (sidekick , normal)
~Kenny (dumb & blur & annoying guy)
~ Jeremy (poor, laughing alongside + village boy; sakkai)
~Gamal (stutter,poor math,mentally challenged + 2nd village boy).

The Target

The highlight event took place at Starbucks, SS15/7, Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia!

*notice it was a rainy day. It was drizzling. However, the show must go on!

So then we ambushed in Starbucks. Everyone was looking at us. Eyes followed our every move. They thought we have come to the wrong place or something. They probably think we were all idiots or too poor to be drinking in Starbucks. Haha! So, the cashier (which was a Chinese gurl) attended to me first. I ordered normally and then Gamal was up next. Apparently she was pissed at them... She purposely shut close the cabinet loudly. The cast assumes she knows that we're doing a prank on them. She wasn't so professional about it. Quote, "Customers Come First". She then switched places with another guy. The Indian guy cashier was so much nicer to the rest. It was hilarious.

Gamal kept stuttering and acted stupid with the beans. Asked silly questions, how they were made and all. And she described and explained it to him. Gamal then took out his hand and gave her a tumbs up! Gave a vague description on what drink or size of the drink he wanted. He had to count from the menu billboard to order.

Cashier: "What would you like to drink, sir? "

Gamal: "Er, er.. I..uh..think..uh..I..want..to..have..number..1..2..3..4! "

Cashier: *turns and looks behind the board* Starts counting to number 4..
"U mean caramel, sir? "

Gamal: "Yessh, number..er.. 4.. CAMEL! "

Jeremy was acting blur. His outfit was the one that gave the right perception. Singlet, pants, flip flops, messy & wet hair. Anyway he looked at the menu. Took his hands out tried to count how much the drink he wanted to order costs. He then counted at the menu and wanted number 6 (kinda like how Gamal pointed at the board).

Cashier: "Chocolate, sir?"
*Aaron from behind said "Cho-cho-lat"

Jeremy: "Yes, I want CHO-CO-LAT!"

Kenny's actions was similiar as Jeremy's but the only difference was that he wanted medium size but got a large. The cashier was trying to explain how it's only RM1 different!

Marcus was like a deaf and dumb sort of person. He pointed out at the first drank he saw. Cinnamon Streussel Latte! It's new. He pointed at that, showed his finger, stating he wants 1.

Cashier: "Medium or large, sir?"

Marcus: "Medium".

Cashier then takes the medium size cup and shows to Marcus.

Cashier: "This size medium, okay?"

Marcus nodded.

I think the cashier really thought he was stupid or something. He had to reconfirm what Marcus's perception of the size "medium" was.

Inside the Target
The wacko's playing Cho Dai Di in Starbucks. Drinks : Caramel Frappucino, Chocolate Frappucino, Cinnamon Streussel Latte, Mocha Blended, Rhumba Frappucino (Oh so yummy!)

There was this guy who kept on staring and staring at us. Actually there were many who were staring. But this guy was the one who was staring non-stop. Guess he was thinking like "Why the hell that girl hanging out with them?" or "Are they stupid or something?" Anyway, the entire cast cock-stared at him back. He felt awkward of course, immediately turned his head down but continued staring again after.

Fight between Marcus & Kenny.
Scene 1

Marcus: "Be prepared to face your doom! Surrender NOW! Or suffer the consequences!"

Kenny: "Never! I shall not surrender to you, Gaycus! I shall defend myself by using this deck of cards! Fan Shield!"

*notice that Kenny raised his leg to defend himself from notorius Gaycus! hehe.

Scene 2

The fight had begun!

*Slap*Hit*Punch*

After several seconds...

Sorry to disappoint you guys but neither one of them won. They both stopped fighting cuz they had to continue playing Cho Dai Di. Hehe.

Captured a short video too. No idea how to put in on net though. It would've been funny.

After an hour and a half in Starbucks doing nothing but irritating customers and the workers, Gamal wanted to go to Mc Donalds to order his lunch. We all went... I ordered my Grilled Chicken Foldover & Apple Pie to then discovered I had not enough cash. Luckily Gamal spared me first! =) Thanks! I did the whole not-enough-cash-shit in front of the cashier. I had however, 77 cents! While waiting for Gamals' burgers to be done, Marcus waved randomly at some guy driving a Satria car. Boy, did he look puzzled! Hilarious! Walked home and did the same thing again. Waved at a Kenari!
