Prague

I LOVED PRAGUE! It is so beautiful... the people were nice & friendly... the Hostel we stayed in was great... met people from France the 1st day we were there, the 2nd day we stayed with Canadians & Americans which was cool. Well, not forgetting the wonderful night we spent at Stanstead airport because we MISSED our flight. Kinda lazy to repeat that whole story again, although we left 5 hours earlier from home. But we got there safely. I really liked Charles Bridge... the scenery there was just so pretty... We also visited the castle grounds... the Basilica, the Old Square, the famous astronomical clock tower, and went for a Mozart and Vivaldi concert which was superb! They are also famous for their stained glass & glasswares... And we managed to go to the BIGGEST club in (middle) Europe!!! which consists of 5 floors. It was just amazing!!!

Didn't have such a great impression of Paris on my first day as my friend got shouted at, just because we asked how much the train tickets cost. HOW RUDE! But the days got better... went to Disneyland and visited Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomph, La Defense, Champs Ellyses, the city hall, the National Opera Theatre, Trocadero, Sacre Ceur... I loved the creme brulee!!! I WANT MORE!!! Loved the omelette fromage as well. I fell in love when I saw Eiffel Tower at first sight... it was just breathtaking and I couldn't believe I WAS THERE! And I was excited to see Notre Dame... and not forgetting The Lourve where Da Vinci Code was made... these places have always been like dreams to me...

Barcelona was awesome. Spent a week there. A WEEK! People usually go for like, 3-4 days but my girls & I had 2 stranded incidents. On the day we were leaving, called up the agent about the booking (just incase) to find out none of our bookings went thru. What did we do? Flew to Spain knowing that 1) No Spanish lessons for us. 2) No place to stay. 3) GREAT! Now, the extra days - Madrid or Mallorca? As soon as we arrived the airport in Barcelona, we looked up the internet finding hostels but couldn't cuz we could only book 2 days before arrival. Started looking for hotels for ages till we found one in La Ramblas area. Chun stuff. So we went there, checked in and made our way out exploring Barcelona... I lurved La Rambla street! The paintings, statues, the beautiful people... the lil ihola booths! Park Guel was simply awesome... one of Gaudi's best works! As well as Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila... covered almost everything while we were there... the FOOD! We ate delicious seafood everyday! Paella! and the very fresh tapas... there's this one awesome place which serves fresh tapas... and its always packed!!! Loved the language too... met some youth from the States while staying our last 2 nights in an apartment... the Port Olimpic beach was superb... really clean... the water was freezing but we went for a swim anyway! And nearby that area is this long deck of restaurants and you'll have a really hard time choosing to eat at which place! But we landed in this really great place & the food was just awesome to the max! Nori & Caryn managed to try Sangria a few nights before they left... and Caryn loved it as it was her first time =) Barceloneta was nice as well... and SHOPPING!!!! Barcelona is heaven for shopping especially ZARA!!! As well as other brands but that was the highlight of my trip there. I LOVED it. Even went to Salvador Dali & Picaso's museum for a visit. And the football stadium was huge! The stuff at the market was oh-so-fresh, the churches and we even went for an opera/Flamingo concert. So for all you people planning for a summer trip, SPAIN is the place to be!
