Che'nelle or more known as Cheryline Lim was born in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. At the age of 10, she moved to Perth, Australia. Dad is Malaysian Chinese and mom was of Indian Dutch origin. And this is one of her hit songs!

By the way, doesn't she resemble so much of Nori? I didn't actually notice till I saw her video...

YEAH RITE!

Woke up at 3.30ish today (I know I'm freaking lazy)... then Marv told me that there's a note in the kitchen... I was already thinking of how to address the issues to my loving flatmates that we are not thieves nor idiots who don't know how to classify which items go to which recycle bins. Damn, should've taken a photo of Exhibit A! I even talked to the girls today about me not knowing who stole her bloody knife or the mayo... who would wanna steal a knife. News flash! I come from Malaysia, and I only use BIG knives and not tiny ones... and a jar of MAYO! As if we can't afford to buy mayo...

Only Malaysians would feel how funny it was... sort of like an inside joke thing... but damn, I never knew this movie could make me so darn happy... after my childish flatmates reacted to the note I wrote... (I just told them to take out the trash cuz me & Marv did the week before) and they decided to write one LONG LOVE LETTER back and put pieces of LEFT OVER FOOD over my note . WOW, so nice of you to even bother to say HI. Even decided to mark exhibits on the PLASTIC bins. Such a great job finding evidence girls. So that's what they teach you at HOW TO BE A SOLICITOR 101. I can see what they teach you at opinion writing and drafting class.

The lovely letter above was from the gorilla. Stomping worse than a sumo. Ought to win like 1st LOUDEST STOMP EVER! Although it might not, I would like to assume it was.

I could actually rebut on all the points given by the gorilla but I'm just not gonna bother. Taking a picture of it is already good enough. I wonder what will be next? HMM?!

Dream # 1

I know I was supposed to be blogging about the various dreams that I have since forever but just never got my mind to do it. Well, I had a dream last night which sorta scared me.

So there I was in the jetty, sending my brother back to Canada (I don't know why he was off to Canada) and he was going with a friend. I was with my sister and a friend. So then the ferry ship (and I don't even know why the heck he was using a SHIP to go all the way to Canada) was blowing its horn and showed signs of departing... At the time, I didn't know where my brother was and wanted to make sure he was on the ship... so I hopped on to the ship, telling my sister I'd be right back and told her to wait for me there... My friend and I went on the ship, starting searching for my brother... I called him when I was on land but he didn't answer. While on the deck of the ship I called again (cuz I figured there was reception) and he finally answered... He told me he was at McDonald's, (I know, how random right? Of all places, it was McD) at the basement of the ship so I told him, thank God he was on the ship! Then the ship started to sail away, LEAVING my sister on that foreign land ALONE! I think we were in Australia somehow... I panicked, tried calling my sister... but my phone battery died, couldn't get my sisters number although I switched it on and off again... My friend bumped into one of the crew members on board and asked when could we be back? She said we're off to this island (she told me this weird place name) and after half an hour we could only stop the ferry and we could like get a boat or something back to shore where we came from. I was a bit relieved because I thought we had to go off to Canada and I couldn't leave my sister behind by herself in Australia... then I looked at my phone, battery's still flat... then suddenly, I spotted this bag, on top of it was a charger, MY HANDPHONE CHARGER (how random is that?) and I plugged it in... and my handphone was charging and I immediately called my sister... telling her that we sailed off and stuff... asking her whether she was alright... and she was being so cool saying, "Yeah, I spoke to the ship crew here and said you guys will be heading back after half an hour".... She told me not to worry, she can take care of herself... I was like, oh... my sister's all grown up now... she can take care of herself... and then suddenly I think time fast forwarded... and she's already in university (in the dream) and she was gonna hang out with her friends till I came back... she was so chilled and there I was panicking!!!

So I woke up, and immediately called home, just to check on Sofia... see how she was doing... apparently she's getting ready for a party and she said she's having a crisis! SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO WEAR! I told her, shut up, I've got this dream I gotta tell you about... and she was like, "What? DID I DIE?" I was like, "NOOOOO... just listen!" So she did and like, said "OK, I gotta go... it's 8pm and the party started at 7.30pm and I'm soooo late! BYE!"

The drama "Corner With Love" talks about Xiao Zhu going to Shanghai, and after he got cheated by his so-called agent, he started to work in a restaurant frying ''ô-á-chian"... a Taiwan local dish... (pic above) which I really really wanna try!!! They have it in Malaysia but I've never come across them... however the taste might be different too... I don't think I can find them anywhere in U.K... =( It looks so damn yummy! And some of you know that... being a Malaysian for 21 years, I have only eaten Yong Tau Foo TWICE in my life... yes... ground breaking record eh? Looking at the pic just makes me miss the taste SOOOO MUCH! Thanks to Sandy & Li Ting for recommending me this awesome dish... all the way in The Mines! =)


For all you guys back home, appreciate the food man... go try all sorts of dish which you never tasted before... Lately have been very Malaysian-ish! Missing home although I've been back here only a month plus...

Exciting NEWS! Amy & Roshan is finally here in U.K!!! SOOOO excited to meet them next month... Alfred... we're all waiting for ya to have a lil reunion in London! =P

Stupid fire alarm went off as I was speaking to Roshan... had to evacute the building... to find out someone BURNT the damn chicken... didn't even have the decency to switch it off... everyone was standing out in the cold for half an hour bitching and wanting to sue the prick who did it... some of the guys just see it as a chance to play rugby... Oh, what a dull Saturday night...

Malaysia 80's baby!

If you are Malaysia's 80's baby, read through this:

We grew up watching Transformers, Thundercats, Woody Woodpecker, Chipmunks, Mickey Mouse, Jem, Mask, Ninja Turtles, Voltron, Baja Hitam, Ultraman n not forgettin POWER RANGERS & BUGS BUNNY!!! and remember "anderra yiba yiba mice"? :) Then Astro came about with Disney Channel & Cartoon Network then Nickolodeon popped out!

Had to brush our teeth during recess at primary school?
Had to hold plastic cups, line up with your classmates side by side and start brushing our teeth at some open area... or maybe near some drain??
Do you still remember that we had 'dentist' rooms where we had to have our teeth checked?

Not to forget our 'program minum susu' in primary school.. everybody is supposed to buy like cartons of milk that cost 30 cents.. and you would see everyone drinking it everyday...its the UHT milk... and some of us would also sneak them in our bag and bring it back home, freeze it and made it to become ice cream?

The teachers who would want to punish us must use yellow rulers to hit us on our palms?? 1 metre length.. (I wonder if it's still sold now, never seen them anymore!)

That a bowl of mihun soup or fried mee only cost 50 cents at the school canteen (the one that was sold in small transparent plastic which taste damn GOOD - but we didn't know it wasn't so healthy for our health back then, bcuz it was ADDED ajinamoto!)

Went to some sundry shop near the school or to the 'roti' man waiting outside our schools so that we can buy junk food like candy floss, chickedees, mamee, ding dang with some toys in it, 'Ti Kam', chewing gum which has colourful tatoo stickers, ice-cream bread and we would play games like monopoly, uno, heart attack and all other card games like that...

Another fun time would be during Pendidikan Jasmani. The boys would play football while the girls would play netball... and it would be like we were playing in the world cup... But of course, the best would be main getah, guli, batu seremban, bottle caps, ice-cream sticks, 'Pepsi Cola one-two-three', Cops and Robbers, main kejar-kejar, and the clapping hands game (never knew how it's called until now, can anyone remember?)..

And for the not so active, those kind of 'book games' where we would use buku latihan to draw and ask our friends to play like FLAMES, hand palm reading, army attack and the famous one is using the math buku latihan to make allies to perangkap your friend... you're either X or O... (it starts with an S, I can't remember what its called now!)

Do you remember the ice-cream tubes which are actually ice and colouring that are sold for 10 to 20 cents.. the colourful ones.. where you usually bite off the top to gulp it down. Orange tastes d best.. (pop-ice)

What about days when we felt like doing naughty things such as folding papers so small to make 'lastik' and shoot each other... how about throwing chalks?? And taking tissue paper, wet it and throw it above our classrooms to make it moldy and sometimes even write confession love letters?

Back then, Michael Jackson was just turning white.. and still had albums coming out.. compared to CD's, we were listening to tapes that sold for RM9.90... No Doubt was just hitting it on... Avril Lavinge was every girls best friend... (they even dress like her! The whole tie, skater boi concept) BSB, Spice Girls, N'Sync were most of people's favourites...

In computer class, we were still using black and white computer moniters.. played maybe SEGA or NINTENDO.. And then the DDR (Dancing Dancing Revolution) pad game was so 'heng' everyone started to dance and LOSE weight... Play Station was just about to change everyone's lives... and now we have all sorts... PS2, PS3, Wii... Having an Ipod is so common now... (Back then it was... UHHHHH.... U HAVE AN IPOD??!)

Well, are we all getting older or what?

1) If you understand what you have read and you are smiling...

2) We have friends from school that are already married...

3) We shake our heads everytime we see high school students fussing about their handphones in school..

4) We don't hang on phone with our friends for hours a day talking about nothing...

5) When we meet back with our friends from time to time, we feel excited and happy talking about old times, the funny 'adventures'/ DRAMAS or stories that we experienced as a kid..

6) Last but not least, that when you read this, you would think of all the happy & sad memories that you have experienced when you were still a kid and would think of sharing this to your old friends that you have known since forever...

I'm sure they would have a huge smile on their face after reading this.....

Life Update

Wow, can't remember the last time I've updated my blog... almost forgot I even owned a blog... been very busy during summer and after returning back home... Malaysia, oh how I've missed you... I had an incredible time back home! Attending Roshan & Amy's wedding in Langkawi was one of the highlights... visited Crystal in Penang... shopping in KL... hung out and catched up with all my buddies... MAMAK... you have no idea how much I've missed roti pisang, I've ate it EVERYTIME without fail whenever I go for mamak... and order 100 PLUS like almost ALL THE TIME at anytime of the day... obviously teh ais as well... But unfortunately haven't had enough time to spend with my family... was only with them for 10 days due to visa madness! Wish I'd have more time... =(


Right, after graduating from University of Reading in July, I am now in Bristol doing the Bar Vocational Course, Postgrad... it's been a long journey... enjoying every single moment! Like it here so much compared to Reading in terms of the place... but I wish my close friends were here with me... however, can't have the best of both worlds! Am still trying to adapt =) Looking positive! (Missing Dinky sooo much, would've been awesome to have u here!)

New place, new friends, new seasons... makes things slightly different...

Been enjoying the course so far, got to learn loads of stuff although this is only the beginning... slowly getting to where I want to be... or at least that's the ideal way...


The intro week at Gray's Inn was great as well... enjoyed the company and food... gotta keep up the traditions =) Felt like I was in Hogwarts when I first entered the dining hall... was magical!
The fact that I started wearing suits makes me feel all grown up now... 21 years old... When did this all happen... flash back to my high school times... wearing pinafores & baju kurung... none of those now... Most of my friends told me it was their best year while being 21... I guess I'll wait & see!

Workload has been crazy and there isn't much time to blog but don't worry, I will when I have the time!
