New Site

My dearest friends,

I'm sure some of you know of this link, and I find it quite interesting for those of you who want to know more about the Baha'i Faith. Just click on the title entry to view.

Also, a link has been added on the right hand side of the blog. Feel free to take a look at it.

Love, Nur'i

whatever's in my mind

Gosh! I can't remember the last time my muscles ached this bad! Been starting dance practice since last week and now I realize I'm in such bad shape! Plus after practice, walking in such cold weather doesn't help at all especially walking a good 20 minutes back from uni. I can't even walk up the stairs properly. Can't bend my knees and get up straight! But this is a good change for me. I can at least do one thing now in this land they call England. Christmas parties are starting next week... starting to plan for the holidays too... Manchester for Christmas, Paris for New Years and Venice for holiday! =) I hope the plan works though... Job's not going to well right now... The weather's always crazy here... Still haven't been shopping at all... except for food and necessities... haven't got the spirit yet... it must be the weather making me all lazy... =) haha, everyone blames the weather!!! And I sleep A LOT too... but I'm tired most of the time, can't explain that! So, Malaysian Night is coming up on February 9th! I'm performing as the rebellious daughter in the sketch, as well as dancing the hip hop and malay dance... I like the Indian dance though.. but I can't do it cuz I'm already acting and I might 'confuse' the audience. But I'm happy with what I'm doing right now otherwise I have nothing to do in uni, except go for lectures... even that I can't handle well... *sigh* A friend of mine suffered yesterday. I've never seen her in that sorta condition. Sad really. She's all better now. Another friend of mine misses kissing. Another friend of mine is homesick and can't wait to go back home. Another friend doesn't like to club other than the drinking part. Another friend is in need of some serious new friends. And I am sick of the guy upstairs shagging so rough until my ceiling is about to crack! =( I wonder where all the gentleness went... Lotsa people from China studying in the UK. Amazed by that. Loads of Hongkie's. Rarely find an Indonesian. Malaysianz plenty. That's sorta cool. But you can see the clique's here and there... Can't really blend in... we'll see how it goes... Ok, any good universities anyone can recommend me to study in for Masters? US? Canada? or anywhere else in the world, I don't mind. You know, my religion amazes me everyday. Each time I find out a single new discovery. It fascinates me. Also, I'm into Gilmore Girls recently! You guys should watch Friday Night Lights too. I miss hanging out with my ex-housemates. They're a crazy bunch but I do love hanging out with them. Where are the Indon's when I need them here with me right now?!! *double sigh*

Life in England

The D Block 1st Floor Kitchen. And those are my floormates. Except those two on the left, Simon & I-can't-remember-his-name-guy. So there's Dave, Ino, Alice, Nikki and Stu. Ooch & Kong is missing from this picture. There's a blend of culture/nationality. Malaysian, Japanese, Chinese, English & African. Which is kinda cool.

My crazy annoying neighbour Stu knocks on my door pretty much all the time. FOR NO REASON AT ALL. He'd put up scary masks, dress in tutu's, angel wings, even in a BOX! Everyone just loves him. I don't know if he's sober half the time I talk to him.

Nikki & Alice basically got my back, being on the watch out if Stu becomes too annoying. Nikki would always say, "Stu, leave that poor girl alone!" haha.

My friends & I went to London on Monday and for the weekend. Crashed at a friends place. Played poker & drinking games. (caution: Never ever drink orang juice while playing any drinking game - you'll develop a water balloon stomach) Watched 2 musicals already. Chicago with Ashlee Simpson in it and We Will Rock You. It was awesome!

Met a new friend who's an a** kinda guy. He even described it in detail.

A friend recently asked me, "Nur'i, do you think the past will always come back to haunt us?" I said yes.

When a friendship starts to turn sour, what do you do? Ignore the problems because its for the best of both parties or be honest even if it means the friendship will never be the same again?

Why is it sometimes so hard to say the simpliest things to your closest friends eventhough you know it won't hurt them?

To be who you are, but given the potrayal how you should act, which truly defines you? What does the society expect from you? What do they really want to see you as?

When you know it's hard to voice out, because what you say may not be beneficial for the majority, would you still say it anyway because of your own comfort? Or would you just blend in? Are you selfish in that way?

Enough said.
