Prison. Jail. Correction Centre. What does this mean to u? Oh well, my law mates and I went to visit the Sg. Buloh Prison today. It was aok la, except that the so called "brief" introduction turned out to be a rather long one. 2 hours? gosh! can die. but luckily Paul sat beside me n we yakked a little la. so shoo away the boredom. and we even watched on video the canning session. eiyer, it was all male. they were all naked except the private part. u know where la ok. no need for me to mention it. thinking about it disgusts me. anyway, they were butt-naked and they were canned like really hard and u can c their skin all red and swelling. and their skin even came off. CAME OFF??! more like peeled. they got wacked for 10 times.(the ones i saw today) but maximum canning is up to 24 a day(i think) Anyhu's after the canning session, the prisoners were straight away sent to the hospital (to stop the bleeding i think) eww.. gross right.. butt-naked men getting wacked in front of so many people and running to report themselves to the prison guard with nothin on but a piece of while cloth covering their private part. yuck. double disgusting. eww. eww. eww. eww. and then, in this specific prison, it consists only of the MALE species. and then Jason inquired whether any prisoners had tried escaping before or that has anyone tried to commit suicide and the person who gave the speech said yes. and i said OUT LOUD; "Obviously la, there are no females here. They'd die if no females were around." Eventually, everyone laughed. Oh, went to visit the crafts and wood the prisoners made. Kinda nice and very creative. Good Job People! We were all waiting to go into the prison. We wanted to visit the jail. The Lock-Up place but we couldn't! We only went until over the huge gate "tembok" and there are 2 main gates there. If one is open, another must be closed. It's like a precedure kinda thing so that the prisoners won't be able to escape. We did see some prisoners doing labour work. The prison isn't that bad after all. Kinda nice and high tech. Very clean too. It looks like a huge school with tall gates. To build the prison, they used up RM173 million. Huge sum huh? Also, they took 4 years to build the prison which was from 1992 and only completed in 1996. There are 616 staff (if im not mistaken) and estimated 2,500 prisoners that can be placed in prison but now, there are 5,202 prisoners. More than half exceeded the limit space. Guess they are all cramming in there. Oh well.. guess that's all for today. Ah, forgot to mention I went to eat SUSHI yesterday! Ate so much! Kinda celebrating Naw Ruz. The Naw Ruz mood is still here though. =) After that, went to watch Robots!! Nice movie!! K, till here, signing off...
